CFW Enabler heeft al heel wat updates gehad de laatste tijd. Er zaten nog bugs in en deze bugs wist men er steeds vrij snel uit te halen. Zodoende waren er dus heel wat nieuwsberichten aangaande updates.

We lichten CFW Enabler nog eventjes voor zij die niet weten wat dit programma juist inhoudt. Hiermee kan je op een PSP 2000- versie met een beveiligd moederbord toch backups spelen. Om dit te kunnen doen dien je ChickHEN R2 te starten en dan CFW Enabler te draaien. Het programma ondersteunt nu ook POPS oftwel PSX- of PS1-spellen. Het werkt echter nog steeds niet op een PSP-3000.

Voor het installeren van de POPS-emulator heb je de 5.00 firmware nodig en de laatste versie van PSARdumper. Als je dit hebt ga je de 5.00 firmware strippen met PSAR dumper. Als het goed is maakt hij nu een map in de root van je PSP aan genaamd F0. In die map staan heel wat files, je gaat vervolgens op zoek naar pops.prx en popsman.prx. Vervolgens kopieer je die bestanden naar ms0:/PSP/GAME/CFWEnabler/Pops. Nu start je ChickHEN en daarna het progamma CFW Enabler en dan zie je een optie ''Enable Pops Support''. Als daarop hebt gedrukt is het als het goed is mogelijk om PSX-spelletjes te spelen!
