Alain Corre, executive director bij Ubisoft, verwacht dat de verkopen van de game Assassin's Creed 2 met 15 procent zullen toenemen, dit in tegenstelling tot deel 1. Deze stijging heeft alles met de maken met de Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines, een PSP-game die kan verbonden worden met Assassin's Creed 2 op de PS3.
Meer nieuws nog gebracht door Ubisoft. In de maand november komt er samen met de game een PSP-bundel op de markt.

"Following the strong showing of Assassin's Creed at E3 and the current buzz, we now think the game should be selling around 15 per cent more units than the first title. [...] Our previous guidance suggested it was going to sell less units than the first title. Most of this performance actually comes from the addition of one platform, the PSP, of which Assassin's Creed was not released in the past. Half of this performance is done with guaranteed bundles."
